HD = 64

Why? Why do big corps have to pull this crap? Microsoft announced that if you own a 32bit copy of Vista you won’t be able to play HD content. Thus, they are once again forcing everyone to upgrade to a 64bit computer. First there was the hardware specs for Vista which alone would force easily half the existing market to upgrade. Battlefield 2

“Josh, you have to get this game. All of us play it and we’re having a LAN party on Saturday.” Why not I though to myself. EA did just release a combo pack with BF2 and the expansion pack for about $10-15 off the ala carte price. After installing and playing the game I can see now why my co-workers like the game. Great graphics, good contols, realistic battles (as much as possible for a game), and just really fun. The only compliant that I have is with the rank/reward system. In BF2 you gain rank by gaining points, which makes sense. However “team killers” can gain points for rewards by killing their own team mates. That just makes no sense. Essentaily EA allows for “stats padding” too where a person keeps performing a single task over and over again to gain points instead of actually helping out the team. Despite these quirks, the game is great. Buy it if you haven’t already.

Oops!

I was checking out the free Visita Beta 2 DVD mail offer from Microsoft and after filling in their stupid quiz I had to log in to my “live” account. So I logged into “live” using my old Avanade account and filled everything out. Just then I noticed that my old hotmail account (I only keep it for spam purposes and my familty can’t remember to use my new email) had a new email. So I hop over to http://mail.live.com (I refuse to link things of non-importance) and guess what, Runtime Error!!!! Good job error checking guys. Good job.

Falling Behind

I’ve been rather bad about posting as of late.  Work has been picking up with a new project and releasing a new version of Mobility, the software I work on.  Add that I’ve been playing World Of Warcraft like the other addicts out there and setting up the guild’s website, I don’t have a lot of “free” time.  Alas, I will start blogging more in the future.
