Turkey Day

For Thanksgiving Steph and I went to Souix City, South Dakota to visit my dad and family.  After a long plane ride to Ohmaha Nebraska we then drove another hour and a half to Souix City.  I was expecting a suttle difference in terraine before we arrived and I wasn’t disapointed.  All in all, Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota look exactly like I picuted it.  Farm land.  Having said that I wasn’t expecting the sand dunes they have there.  These dunes are found only in one other place in the world, China.  They look like everyday hills/small mountains however when you get up close to them you notice that they’re sand.  Sure there’ grass, trees, and other vegitation on them, but they looked pretty cool from up close.  Aside from the terrain, it didn’t snow while we were up there.  It did snow after we left but thankfully we avioded it.  Surprisingly it was rather warm last weekend.

For the weekend we just hung out at the house and vegged.  You need those days everyonce and a while.  We saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  Like s1n mentioned, it was a good movie.  A little darker from the other but a good movie non the less.  Aside from the movie, we played some card games, and watched a movie or two.  The only bad thing that happened was that Steph got sick on Sunday which made for a LONG ride home.  Thankfully we made it home safe and sound and Steph is felling better.
