Reality Setting In
So we’ve been back from our cruise for a few days now. We had a blast but man it wasn’t long enough. I’ll just put all your minds to ease; No, we did not get sick :). Our cruise took us to San Juan Puerto Rico, St. Marteen Philipsberg, and Labadee Haiti. We were on the ship for 7 days (well 6.5) 4 of which were at sea.
Day 1 - Out of Miami

Pretty much we woke up at a time when only newborns wake up and headed off the airport. A few hours later we’re in Miami, loaded the ship, and snooped around.
Day 2 - At Sea
The cruise staff did a great job keeping everyone entertained on the “at sea days”. The event of the day was a Men’s Sexy Leg competition. No I didn’t compete, especially when I saw the 93year old man cleaning house I knew I had no chance.

Day 3 - At Sea and San Juan
Day 3 was half at sea and a few hours in San Juan. In San Juan we went to an old fortress and to the Bacardi Rum factory. To make matters better, Hilary Clinton was on the island blocking traffic and campaigning. Our bus was one of the few that got around the mess and was able to do the tours. Another bus wasn’t as lucky. Rumor is the bus driver was given 3 tickets while trying to get through the mess!

Day 4 - St Marteen
We probably had the most fun at St Marteen doing the Tree Top Adventure. There we road a bus to some secluded spot where they had an obstacle course for you. We geared up and went swinging, strafing, and tight roping from tree to tree. That night on the ship we also watched an Ice Skating show (yes, live on the ship) which was really good!

Day 5 - At Sea
The event of the day this time was Men’s Belly Flop competition. For some reason I opted out of this one too.

Day 6 - Labadee
Day 6 was pretty much our lounge day. We got to Haiti bright and early and stayed until mid afternoon. Royal Caribbean has their own private beach where we stayed and had some fun. Our big event that day was the 500ft high, half mile long zip line :)

Day 7 - At Sea
By this day we were needing a vacation from our vacation. Steph had developed a heat rash so we didn’t get to lay out much to her disappointment. Thankfully it was pretty cloudy all morning long so were able to go outside for a while. That afternoon we went back inside to pack and hang out.

Day 8 - Going Home
We woke up and the ship was docked and ready for us to leave. We met Steph’s friend Lisa and her mother for lunch in Ft. Lauderdale and went home from there.
Again, we had a blast! We just wish it lasted longer :(. All the pictures have been uploaded for your viewing pleasure (http://josh-kerr.com/photos/album/cruise-2008/).
Cruise Control
We’ll, tomorrow we leave for our cruise. Needless to say Stephanie and I are pumped. We’ve never been on a vacation where it’s just she and I since our honeymoon. Every vacation has been with friends or family so this will be great to just get out by ourselves…on a boat with thousands of strangers…whatever. Pictures to come.
Finally
I’ve had 2 pieces of lattice in my garage for well over two month now just waiting to be put up. Every weekend something came up and the honey-do was put on hold. It’s just feels great to finally get a seemingly undo able house project done. Now to clean the garage….
